Do you know the story behind nanaCompany?

Designer and author, Amy Sinibaldi, started nanaCompany in 2007. She had taught herself to sew the year earlier and opened a shop on Etsy selling small handmade items. She chose the name nanaCompany because “nana” was an acronym for the members of her family.

  • “n”: for Nick, her husband
  • “a”: for herself, Amy
  • “n”: for Nicholas, her son
  • “a”: for Anne, her daughter

Her family continued to grow over the years, and the name “nanaCompany” stuck. Amy was glad that her daughters’ first initials existed within “Company”.

  • “o”: for Olivia
  • “m”: for Mia

As her sewing skills improved, she soon began to catch the attention of leaders in the industry. She joined Art Gallery Fabrics as a fabric designer in 2015, and wrote two sewing book titles for Tuva Publishing: “Sweetly Stitched Handmades” and “Rainy Day Sewing” (co-authored by Kristyne Czepuryk). Amy’s work— whether it be patterns, fabrics, or photographs— have appeared in countless magazines and books.

Now, Amy has made the leap to open her own stand alone shop— venturing to offer more of what she loves with the attention to detail that has made nanaCompany stand out. Good things are in store! From art prints, handmade items, charming kits, home goods, curated fabric bundles, and vintage treasures, to notions and supplies... nanaCompany is expanding and ready to add sweetness and charm to your every day life.
